WOW!!! Riley was not even mentioned as a possible replacement for Bo. Also, supposedly after being rehired by Oregon State when he was fired from the Chargers he vowed to stay there as long as Oregon State wanted him.

This is too bad for Oregon State. Riley in his two stints as HC and Dennis Erickson in between had significantly improved the quality of football at OSU.

I wish Riley the best of luck. Getting this program beyond the “9 wins per season” hump will be difficult. A few wins against quality opponents will be a sign of progress.
