Secretary of the Treasury Jacob Lew, Obama’s former White House Chief of Staff, took the documents that were set to be released and now refuses to ever turn them over. His rationale? Lew cannot release information about improper disclosures of confidential taxpayer information because that would be an improper disclosure of confidential taxpayer information.

Yeah, and the fact that the IRS sent any confidential taxpayer to the White House at all is very serious and unprecedented breach of taxpayer confidentiality and a seriously improper disclosure in and of it self that carries serious penalties for the disclosure alone to both the sender at IRS and recipient at the White House.

It is hard to fathom anything they could have done with the information that was not felony crime.
