Police summoned to Wisconsin home where youngsters called 911 for Santa.
MAYVILLE, Wis. (AP) Two young brothers from southeastern Wisconsin are likely hoping they haven't landed on Santa's naughty list after police showed up at their doorstep.
The boys, ages 3 and 6, thought the best way to get in touch with the North Pole was by phone. And for youngsters of that age, their Christmas lists could be considered an emergency.

Exactly. This is a great opportunity for community policing and a gentle life lesson.
The kids who called 9-1-1 looking for Santa Claus are likely cute as buttons.
Give the kids a plastic toy badge and teach them the proper way to utilize the telephone for emergencies.

At least the officers did not feel a choke hold was necessary, or that it was necessary to shoot the family dog.

Back when I was a kid we used to call information in various cities from a pay phone. You could dial the operator and get your dime back then be transferred to an actually operator in that city who looked up the number in a phone book. All for free (long distance calls cost a fortune back then). Big fun for 9 year olds.

Great. Now we’re going to read a story next week about how these kids went missing and are thought to be hiking towards the North Pole.
