It’s a ridiculous phrase. I never use it. Some are so brain dead that use it to describe any black, even if not from America. I recall some mediot referring to Mandela as an “African American.”

CNN did that once... There was a street scene in Africa, and the dumb CNN slut called them AAs...

Why do Rush and so many others use the term? I honestly can think only gutless and/or stupid. But Rush is neither of these. If John Stossel can avoid the term, why not Rush?

Yep, I saw a story about some black guys from Britain. The reporter referred to them as African American.

It is really jarring to hear it when it is so nonsensical. I was listening to a recording of a P. G. Wodehouse novel and was really surprised to hear ‘African American’ instead of whatever the original word was. Particularly since this was a novel set in 1930s Britain.
