Looks like the scene from Apocalypse Now where Coppola juxtaposes the killing of Kurtz with the sacrifice of a bull water buffalo. I don't think this movie got the PETA seal of approval.

Digging to find the perceived flaws in other cultures is wasteful. Time, thought, effort - all wasted.

Look at the savages, har har har.

People complain about kosher slaughter, too. It carries the same weight as this - none at all. I have slaughtered my share of fowl, deer, pigs, cows, and so on. Messy, bloody work.

I can think of a thousand ways in which Western culture is preferable without having to rubbish others.

This adds no light, only heat, but I guess you need to feel superior, so there is that.
