Now Teachers Union Outlaws Coca-Cola From Its Events
The Daily Caller ^ | 11/29/2014 | Eric Owens

After wasting millions of dollars on losing Democratic candidates in this month’s midterm elections, the American Federation of Teachers has completely gone off the deep end and banned Coca-Cola and Coke products from its events and facilities.

The teachers union — America’s second largest — based its prohibition on America’s best product and, certainly, its best export, on allegations of human rights violations that were described in a trio of books published several years ago...

Larry Sand, president of the California Teachers Empowerment Network, a group that frequently stands athwart teachers unions, spells out the motivation more clearly: ”Obviously, they [Coca-Cola] were not using unionized workers,” Sand said, according to Fox.

The teachers union’s conspiracy theory-esque claims include murder, assassination attempts and eight-year-old children wielding machetes.

A Coca-Cola representative called the allegations against the delicious beverage conglomerate “outdated and erroneous.”

The anti-Coke gambit is the latest in a bizarro month even by the standards of America’s teachers unions. After the devastating electoral losses, the National Education Association sought to rally support for new laws forcing taxpayers to foot all or part of the college tuition costs for anyone who becomes a teacher.

Also in November, Randi Weingarten, president of the American Federation of Teachers, issued a statement expressing her deep concern that preschool teachers make low salaries. Her own salary of $360,000 per year is 1,068 percent higher than the income of a typical prekindergarten teacher ...

Also, the AFT has mounted a campaign to vilify financial institutions that have lent money to public school districts and local governments around the country. The union used the term “toxic deals” to describe transactions involving school districts that received huge sums of money in exchange for promises to repay that money with interest and fees.

“Teacher’s Union” pretty well marks the members as dwelling on the left side of the Bell Curve.

The proof lies in the article

If you have to go to one of these events, get some empty beer bottles* (Guinness would work best, because of the colour match) and decant your Coke into the beer bottles.

*Be sure to drink the beer — just pouring it out would be an outrage.

The teachers’ unions are one of the leading contributors of what’s wrong with this country; especially the ones in Illinois where, in my district (avg household income is 36k)and the average teacher makes 70k in salary / 100k with pension + benefits. We have the third highest real estate taxes in the country and the school portion of the bill is over 60%. The teachers only work 6 hours a day for only 2/3 of the year. The average graduation rate is about 70% and only about 20% can pass the college entrance exam. It’s pathetic and the teachers still say they are underpaid and overworked. I see tax bills for a house worth 100k at approx 5k per year. The teachers’ union is wrecking our whole community. If they don’t get their best contract, they strike and everyone panics with what to do with the kids and sports. The whole thing is a mess, but the teachers love their union.

Oh, those fun-loving “educators” and their representatives. I can’t wait until they ban themselves from classrooms.

I quit Pepsi products because they’ve used embryonic tissue in their product testing and development.

Let's see... Teachers Unions aren't needed if you home school...

Another reason to home school, you can help get rid of teachers union and liberal teachers...

Maybe I need stronger glasses, but I’m having trouble distinguishing between ‘educators’ and various fascists through history.
