I have some Dim acquaintances who claim they are proud to pay their fair share of taxes. They have a rental property and they use it as a tax-dump place to claim their regular home improvement costs with to avoid various taxes.
The guy apparently can’t afford a haircut, so I guess it’s not surprising that he’s trying to cut corners where he can.
bizarre but is there any connection?

$20 for Wrangler jeans at Orschlen Farm & Home stores in Missouri.
I was at a consignment store in Florida with my mother a couple of weeks ago. An employee answered the phone and then asked the manager, “Do we accept jeans for consignment?” The manager replied, “Only if they retailed for over $100.”
‘Crime is caused by poverty’ /s
At Century 21, no less! (a discount store).
I would hate to find myself resorting to theft in order to purchase a pair of $499. jeans for $299. and lacking the brains to realize that neither pair is worth more than about $10. in reality.
It would seem that it is all about the name tag anyway. Once you switch tags and leave the high dollar tag in the dressing room you are going to be seen as one who could not afford a pair of $499. jeans so why bother in the first place? As for myself I would not want to be seen as one who could be gulled into paying $299. let alone $499. for a pair of jeans which probably won’t last as long as a pair of LL Bean or Levis.
Proof a sucker is born every minute
Jeans costing $499
You go Hollywood
"CHILD RAPIST! WE'VE GOT A CHILD RAPIST HERE! See? Nobody cares."
All I could think was, “$499 for Jean’s what?”
