I don’t smoke cigarettes or “reefers” but I can see the damage to the children and teens around us.

You can always tell the kids who are a little high and can’t be bothered with the school work, or are a little high and feel they can do things with impunity. Marijuana removes inhibitions, just like alcohol, and brings out the worst in people. Lazy gets lazier and mean seems to get meaner.

Blaming Ferguson riots on marijuana requires one to ignore the race baiters, the leftists seeking to exploit any situation and a host of other real causes. This article is just another example of someone exploiting Ferguson to make a political statement. At best this is a silly explanation.

Thanks. Not surprised. Legally intoxicated.

“Pot doesn’t cause anyone to do anything.”

Dangerously wrong. Pot doesn’t simply enhance negative intentions, it can cause PSYCHOSIS - which includes delusions, hallucinations, paranoia, and disorganized thinking.

When the author said that todays pot has THC ranging as high as 40%-70% I realized that this article is complete bullshit.

I notice that there was no mention of alcohol. Clearly there was none of that present.

The Pot just took away their fear.

Think of the origin of the word "assassin," from the Arabic Ḥashshāshīn, essentially 11th century terrorists whose leaders got them stoked on so much hashish they believed they had seen the delights of Heaven and were suggestible to orders to kill anyone in order to experience them again.

An army of Muslim potheads was a force to fear back then by crusaders and sheikhs alike.

Marijuana, the gateway drug to the couch.

I can’t believe these people. Last thing anybody is going to do after smoking pot is stand in front of riot gear wearing cops holding shields and bean bag guns screaming in their faces.

Today the real pot is often sprayed with the synthetic pot. This synthetic pot is far stronger than the old pot. The experts say the synthetic THC on the street is 7 times stronger and a fraction of the cost. People who smoke either large quantities of pot or a small amount of synthetic pot are known to get anxious and paranoid in addition to the normal logic distortion. Just as in drinking alcohol where you can’t compare a hard liquor bender to a relaxing evening with a few glasses to beer or wine, you can’t compare heavy pot use to the casual user. The reactions are different.

I’ve gone to medical conferences on this and listened to the ER Dr’s and psychiatrists present case studies. It does not effect everyone the same. Just as with alcohol, some people get mellow, others get angry. It differs by person.

The same was true of LSD. I spoke with some of the early researchers about a major problem they had, i.e. How to prescreen for those who will have a bad trip vs a good trip. They found that by exposing a person to high concentration levels of CO2 and watching a person’s response they could predict a good or bad trip. Drugs often open Pandora’s Box of deep seated unresolved emotions.

People have good and/or bad trips with the synthetic pot. What was true in the past about getting the munchies and giggles is not necessarily true now.

The irony in this is that the National Institute on Drug Abuse funded the research at Clemson by Chemist J W Huffman developed 450 synthetic cannabinoid compounds which were used to test the effect of cannabinoid receptors in the brain and other organs. JWH-018 is the most potent and easiest to make of these compounds. It’s being made in China and repackaged around the world.

"So, you and the mainstream media agree that marijuana is totally and completely harmless? Even if there is scientific studies which show it isn’t."

Reefer is a silly, recreational drug ... it plays with blood pressure a bit, but it is not a narcotic per se and it is certainly not acid nor a debilitating substance.

If you think otherwise, you've never been high on grass.

... and the scientific experts say New York City was washed away last year in global warming tsunami's

Whites smoke as much pot as blacks, but their crime rate is extremely low. This is despite lax marijuana laws all over the country. Explain that, if you can.

“Linking dope to violence is taboo for most of the media.”.........

We certainly can’t allow the use of drugs to “fog” the riot reporting now can we? (sarc)

Pot was Charles Manson’s favorite drug. But it didn’t lead to lawlessness or anything like that.

Pot makes you a violent rioter. And it makes you an apathetic couch dweller. Pick one lie and stick with it.

“Pot doesn’t simply enhance negative intentions, it can cause PSYCHOSIS - which includes delusions, hallucinations, paranoia, and disorganized thinking.”....

Pretty well sums it up then.

Pot users are breaking the law in all but a few places.

The thing about law breakers, is they have disdain for ALL laws.

Criminals acting like criminals, deal with it.

Take a look at the faces of the “peaceful protestors”. A lot of them (in some scenes a majority) are stupid suburban college kids. They’re being radicalized, and drugs are usually part of the process. I suspect that when it elevates to actual rioting and looting, it’s because the thug population took over.

You are partly correct. Marijuana does not “cause” anyone to do anything, but it DOES release inhibitions, just as alcohol does. If one already has a predisposition to be violent, then they may well lose whatever control they have.
