The Worricker Trilogies
PBS ^ | 11/27/14 | David Hare

Anyone watched this? Rush Limbaugh is watching it and I watched it before him.

Call it liberal call it BS, this is a fine bit of writing that tackles serious problems.

Bill Nighy is a pleasure to watch in any role.

Agreed, even in goofy films like “the boat that rocked”

Agreed. The Turks story line is more realistic than one might suppose. Many spy operations involve deals with and cons on criminals. Often, the initial opening comes about through chance and shady characters.

Sorry to all the boosters...I can't take the show seriously. I didn't know anything about it until I started watching the Turks and Caicos episode. And then the big (spoiler alert) shocking secret was that Britain and the U.S. was using torture and rendition on Al Qaeda types. That's when I quit caring.

I've seen a number of Brit productions authored by leftists who think they represent some moral authority. Basically, they're siding with the terrorists. Just like that Showtime series Homeland where they try to create moral equivalency.

I like him very much as well.

This is probably my favorite off the top of my head:
