Seems like I read he had already resigned
yes I did too, but I think he needs to move out of the area not just quit the force.
His wife is a Ferguson cop, too, isn’t she?
One has to wonder if those burned out business owners are not relieved to get the insurance money and relocate to someplace with a future.
I wouldn’t be too sure that your standard commercial business insurance covers riots.
It’s likely in there in a clause excluding “Act of God, war, insurrections” etc.
Yep, saw it. He needs another lesson.
The riots and destruction
The looting, fires and more
Are just chickens roosting
Outside the emperors’ door
Just because he can’t allow
Even one opportunity to pass
To let his alligator mouth
Overload his hummingbird ass
Ben Crump and Al Sharpton are
Inciting on every TV station
I wish Obama had nostomania
For a long Hawaiian vacation...
The guys I work with are mostly S Texans of Hispanic ancestry like my compadre and I-their take on Michael Brown’s parents and that tribe of race baiters is not kind, and I agree with them-this is a flat-out tantrum by people who didn’t get the public execution they wanted, and are so stupid they are torching their own city over it-and will want government money to pay for it. I feel for the business owners and companies that insure them in that town-and I’ll bet no owner of a business will be able to get insurance there again...
One of the subs said that even mojados are more civilized than people that burn everything when they don’t get their own racist agenda. That is pretty damning, since he even wants illegal kids all sent home...
A little early, but:
As you celebrate, here are a few fun facts you can share about this holiday:
In the U.S., about 280 million turkeys are sold for Thanksgiving celebrations.
The average weight of a turkey purchased at Thanksgiving is 15 pounds.
Gobble, gobble? Only male turkeys gobble. Females cackle.
Mashed potatoes, pumpkin pies, corn on the cob, and cranberries were not foods present on the first Thanksgiving table.
Thanksgiving was not declared a national holiday until 1941.
AND on a personal note, a traditional food at our table at Thanksgiving table was always Brussels Sprouts. Why? Because when my youngest uncle came home from the Navy for Thanksgiving after WWII (after surviving Pearl Harbor and being gone for 5 years) my mother asked what he would like to eat and he said, “Those little cabbages”. Our family served them ever after, and I do too.
Warmest wishes this holiday season and a very happy 2015.
I also blame the media. They have been harping riot, riot, riot ever since this happened. It’s been a non-stop drum beat since August. I believe they stirred up a lot of people who might have spent their time doing anything else.
Then, to have the news out that the verdict has been decided, but we are not going to tell you what it is for 3, 4, 5 more days just gave a lot of agitators time to get themselves to Ferguson. Add to that, constant coverage of, “Oh, look, there are people gathering in LA and Chicago and Milwaukee and NYC. Everybody rush to your nearest big city and see what ruckus you can raise.”
Yes I think his wife is also an officer, and yes, I would also be happy to move my business elsewhere!
Haha - what a pansy
nice story! We recently have started to appreciate Brussel sprouts at our house. Think they may actually be trendy and are being served in nice restaurants. We have some good recipes for them.
And in regard to Fergison - I bet you are right and the gov steps in with disaster funds to help rebuild
We are also serving “little cabbages”....we love them!
Family and belief in the sanctity of life are learned from the cradle for most of us, especially in rural areas where large, traditional ranch/farm families are still the norm. Disabled/incapacitated people are mostly cared for at home by relatives, not in some other place by strangers-it is considered a Christian duty-I watch a couple of novelas on Telemundo 2-3 evenings a week, and I’ve never seen a planned parenthood ad of any kind-if they air them, it isn’t between 7pm and 9pm, and you don’t see ads for birth control like on US stations. There are, however plenty of ads for women’s lingerie and Viagra...
Haha - that “latin hot blood” lol My Marine had me laughing the other day - an ad for either viagra or cialis - something in that line - and the warnings included things like swollen joints or swollen this or that...and my guy said, “so if everything except your penis is swelling, go to a doctor” ;^)
Those ads would definitely make me think twice if I were a guy-MrT5 always said that warning about calling a doctor for an erection that lasts more than four hours was a hell of a deterrent for him-he wanted to know what would be done to you in the ER if that happened...
I don’t think he would have liked the answer..... ;^)
