“We have dealt with the suspect before,’’ Edwards said.

My guess is half the judges and court appointed lawyers know him too.

Yep.

I am not for changes to the constitution but “You have to right to an attorney...If you cannot afford one, one will be provided for you at no cost to you...”. NEEDS TO BE CHANGED!!!!

If you’ve had a court appointed attorney 3 times, it should be on your dime after that. No way the taxpayers should be funding lawyers for thugs with 30 arrests.

Sleazy trial lawyers aren’t pushing to have that changed. Judges (lawyers with more cushy jobs) don’t want to change that because they know they may go back to lawyering for these thugs.

Thugs cost taxpayers so much. The cost to operate the courts, the judges, the lawyers, the jails, the arrests and re-arrests, the law enforcement, the healthcare, etc. It has to come to an end sooner or later.

No criminal defense lawyer get rich on public appointments.

And, candidly, given Eric holders persecution of white people for the crime of not letting themselves get killed by blacks, the abscense of a court appointed attorney scares me, especially when coupled with their wreck less abuse of civil forfeiture laws in order to prevent defendants from hiring a private lawyer.

Okay, let’s put it at 3 for violent crimes. This would have a similar impact as 3 strikes.

Any chance he will change his ways after getting shot??? Maybe he will realize his chosen life is a dangerous one which may get him killed someday???

Probably not. He’ll probably get some lawyer to sue the person he tried to rob. And, if the treatment at the hospital wasn’t perfect, he’ll have some lawyer sue the hospital, doctors, etc.

It could happen, and his family will say, "He died doing what he loved."
