Uber is an app on your phone... you use it if/when you need a ride... i used it in San Francisco... my nephew was celebrating his birthday at the Presidio, but before that, we all met at his apartment late morning and enjoyed mimosas and bloody marys... we did not want to drive after drinking, so we all used Uber to get to the Presidio... the first ride is free...
Oh, I’ve heard of that company - just didn’t know what it was called. I think they just moved here to the Portland Oregon area. Thanks for the info.
On one side I am suspicious of the association of Plouffy.
This seems like a ride sharing/car pooling app. And the taxis with the expensive medallions are whining (well maybe taxis should be the only 4-wheel vehicles on the road outside of goobermint? Maybe they need to exercise some pull with the government). And their problem is????

Uber does come in handy when you least suspect it. About a year ago I brought my car in for service and was told it would take much of the day. So I punched a button on my cellphone and had an Uber there in about five minutes to take me back home. No no waiting around the shop in an uncomfortable chair for six hours while bored housewives watched game shows and soap operas on the one TV.
