Gowdy is my congress critter. I agree with you that he makes himself out to be something he is not by being a media hound and his position on some issues would not pass the various FR litmus tests. However he is among the best we got and we cannot afford to beat up our own.
Exactly right, but just making a reasonable comment like this is enough for some FReepers to take Gowdy off their Christmas card list. And we wonder why we can’t win a Presidential election..

BTW, How do I really feel about this? The media is probably playing Gowdy like a violin. I feel in my bones that some part of the Democrat Party must be just as unhappy with the traitorous gay Indonesian assklown as everyone else. If there is a coup in the wind, the MSM could just be using Loudy Gowdy to head off any 'dump-Obama' movement within the Democrat Party. If the Light-in-the-Loafers Luo's cabinet turns on him, the Democrats in Congress will find him unfit, as well. (see Amendment 25)
