Today, on this day in history...

On November 13, Felix Unger was asked to remove himself from his place of residence; that request came from his wife. Deep down, he knew she was right, but he also knew that some day he would return to her. With nowhere else to go, he appeared at the home of his friend, Oscar Madison. Several years earlier, Madison's wife had thrown HIM out, requesting that HE never return. Can two divorced men share an apartment without driving each other crazy?

Back when comedy was clean, creative, and funny.

LOL! I’ll never forget the opening lines on that show, with the music. Still one of the best comedies ever on TV! Thanks for the memories!

Today is also Sadie Hawkins Day

I wonder if high school kids still celebrate the event?

Recently I saw some notes my husband had made concerning his job, as the notes were on my kitchen counter. I noticed some abbreviations he made that said “F/U”.

I then laughed and told him why. As we on FR know in The Odd Couple screenplay Oscar asked Felix why he kept swearing at him at the bottom of household notes.Of course, Felix replied, “those are my initials, not swear words”.

My husband didn’t know The Odd Couple well enough to know this. I suggested to him that if he wanted to abbreviate Follow Up, there might be a better way than FU. Or how about just write it as Follow Up.

LOL
