[history]
An Ohio mother says she was sickened after buying a "princess wand" at a local store which shows a girl cutting her wrist and playing a demonic laugh.
The mother said she bought the non-descript, pinkish-orange wand for her two-year-old daughter at a dollar store in Dayton.

Something tells me you probably shouldn't be buying a toddler a toy called the "Evil Stick" in the first place. Just my thoughts on it...

Yes, whether the child can read or not, why reward the manufacturer?

Yup. It says Evil Stick on the package.
I’m guessing she was a big supporter of Obamacare too. (Gruber was right)

Holy Molly. This is either a scam by the mother or the factory worker who made that wand was a little disgruntled.

I’d like to know if this was a one off, or if all of the “Evil Sticks” out there are like this.

"Evil Stick"
Sounds like something Lena Dunham would have enjoyed sharing with her baby sister.
To: dware
the packaging clearly says "Evil Stick" for ages 3 and up, yet shoppers point out how the packaging is deceiving and isn't suitable for any age. 1. Why is the shop selling an "evil stick" to young girls to begin with?
2. How are parents so incredibly stupid as to be "deceived" into thinking that something that is clearly called an "Evil Stick" is really just a "princess wand"?

She probably didn't even take notice of the name of the toy.
I can't believe the storeowner said this:
The owner of the store says the packaging clearly says "Evil Stick" for ages 3 and up,
Oh, well, in THAT case... You should buy the stick only if you WANT your child (age 3 and up) to be scarred for life. /sarc
LOL. Unbelievable. Here's how the storeowner should've responded:
Apologize immediately, thank the mother for bringing the issue to the owner's attention, and promise to remove those items from the shelves right now and investigate the distributor who sold the store that item. Because there is no way that thing should be sold for children anywhere.
To: dware
That’s pretty disturbing. Who thought it’d be a great idea to mass produce that for children?

Sometimes you have to be sensitive to what the child is ready for. Apparently three is too young to teach 'em about the joys of anal sex but not too early to get them enthusiastic about slashing their little wrists.
Uh, Mr. Toy Developer? I'm only kidding. Really. Mr. Toy Developer? Hello?
To: dfwgator
LOL, that’s one of the greatest comedy bits of all time!

So...there’s actually a toy manufacturer who actually makes and sells “Evil Sticks”, ages 3 and up?
