13 U.S. senators write to Sunil Gulati, Sepp Blatter opposing WWC turf (Women's World Cup)

Thirteen U.S. senators have signed letters to U.S. Soccer president Sunil Gulati and FIFA president Sepp Blatter urging them to support the use of natural grass fields at next year’s Women’s World Cup in Canada, SI.com has learned.

As of now, all six WWC venues are set to have artificial turf fields. It would be the first time a senior men’s or women’s World Cup was not played on natural grass. A group of top women’s players from around the world, led by U.S. forward Abby Wambach and Germany World Player of the Year Nadine Angerer, has brought a case alleging gender discrimination by FIFA and the Canadian Soccer Association with the Ontario Human Rights Tribunal in an effort to force a switch to natural grass fields.

War on Women! ISIS is enslaving girls/women but idiots like Murkowski and Boxer are more worried the Women's World Cup is using turf instead of natural grass for the fields.

It sounds like a urinary disorder.

Natural grass is a much better surface for soccer than artificial turf.
This certainly is not a gender issue...soccer is just better and safer on grass.
Artificial turf provides way too much grip and the ball moves much faster.

Clearly they’ve never tried to maintain a grass football field in Edmonton.

I am glad to see ‘THEM’ getting on to the more important stuff now that the Problems of the country have been solved.

Hear they are going after the singing of “God Bless America” in the 7th inning as being ‘over the top’ and they will demand that “take me out to the ball game” will be reinstated -
AND no more of this BUY me some peanuts and cracker jax, GIVE me some peanuts etc etc etc....
Also, to speed things up, they will ‘drop’ the National Anathem before the games, no more Ceremonial 1st Pitch.

If the R’s had ANY gonads at all, they would be highlighting ALL these idiots and use it for the reelection - Obviously they waited till AFTER Nov 4 to bring this up.

Point out the things ‘THEY’ have tabled and pull a D and tie BO and dingy harry to it - that is what they should be running on.
.

"Clearly they’ve never tried to maintain a grass football field in Edmonton."

But do they have ownership interest in a sod company?
