George Lucas ruined his own creation, IMO. And, I can think of at least 30 Sci-Fi films that were much better than the last five Star Wars films. The first one was an OK movie made into a very good one by the actors alone.
Who could believe that the same man who wrote American Graffiti was even involved with the fourth Star Wars movie - which I would rank as the worst Sci-Fi movie in terms of cost vs entertainment EVER, except possibly, just possibly, for Lost In Space.
At least there is NO CHANCE WHATSOEVER that Lucas will write a single line of dialogue in the new one, so, who knows? Maybe this one should be called “A New Hope - Again”.
