Complete title: Alongside the mother who tried to kill her as a child, a tearful Wendy Davis concedes defeat after trouncing in Texas
Wendy Davis has reassured her supporters their campaign was not fought in vain as she conceded defeat on stage alongside her mother who almost killed her when she was a child.
Davis, who broke down in tears as she gave her concession speech, had earlier called Republican Greg Abbot to congratulate him on his landslide victory. She told supporters at the Davis campaign's Forth Worth election party they must continue fighting despite a landslide victory for her Republican opponent Greg Abbot...
“Note for later reflection: seeing the map of counties in Texas that she carried, almost all of them are Mexican border lands. “
Very interesting.
They are ambrosia!
she was never viable-just a lump of cells.
A dagger to Davis’ heart: “Davis’ seat in the Texas Senate was taken by Republican Konni Burton, a member of the Tea Party.”
you stole the words out of my mouth.
Do not change titles
Weeps? Weird. Did she think she’d win and was crushed when she was crushed?
That sobfest began last night with media commentators. Charlie Rose and guests including Tom Brokaw could barely lift their heads from the table. Hey, Tom, last night was “An American Story.”
Morning Show pundits dressed in black, as is their habit when Repubs win.
It was totally awesome that last night the AP projected Abbott the winner before Davis’ camp had even started setting up the after party. Totally hilarious.
...She really had no chance at a normal life in Texas, so we had to abort her... ;-)
Texas is a DEEP Red State!
That is why the state is being flooded with new democratic voters from other countries...
