A pickup in Maine’s 2nd Congressional District, too.
Democrat Congressman Mike Michaud gave up the seat to run for governor of Maine. He lost to governor Paul LePage, a conservative GOP incumbent.
The 2nd Congressional District seat was an open seat, and conservative GOP businessman Bruce Poliquin won the House seat after midnight local time.
I voted for both Paul LePage AND Bruce Poliquin. Wa-hoo!
