I guess Obama only writes Executive Orders; he clearly does not read them. At the end of Section of E.O. 14452 is a list of those communicable diseases for which people are to be quarantined. Notice that after "Viral Hemorrhagic Fevers" is a list "Lassa, Marburg, Ebola, Congo-Crimean, and others not yet isolated or named". Yet Obama is allowing people who have been exposed to Ebola into the country and then allowing them to wander around.

He has not amended or repealed that Executive Order. But, like everything else, he does What he wants to do. Formalities not necessary.

Federal isolation and quarantine are authorized for these communicable diseases:

• Cholera
• Diphtheria
• Infectious tuberculosis
• Plague
• Smallpox
• Yellow fever
• Viral hemorrhagic fevers
• Severe acute respiratory syndromes
• Flu that can cause a pandemic

Federal isolation and quarantine are authorized by Executive Order of the President.

This is George W Bush executive order - does anyone know as far as whose EO trumps whose order? Or does Obama’s pen matter - he put out an EO in July 2014 (listed on the thread below)
