You implied that all parents had a moral obligation to provide a college education for their children, and if they didn't that they deserved to be abandoned by their children in their old age.

Is that fair assessment of what you said?

Actually, if a parent is not willing to make sacrifices for their children they should not expect a whole lot in return.

I do not mean a parent has to pay for college. But this guy sounds like a jerk. A parent should be willing to give up stuff for their children’s progress.

There are an awful lot of people who are asses to their children who expect them to run to their side when they are old and infirm.

You reap what you sow.
