Absolutely nothing going on in radioland regarding Q&R or stations changing formats. Warroom is just Rose going on about Corbett. Oh he’s better than wolf bu dang it we need conservatives in office!
In other news Jep from Duck Dynasty had a severe seizure while duck hunting Saturday. He is doing better but he thought he was going to die.

A few more Ebola “possibles” (Memphis, a 5yr old in NYC, and one more...NE?). I watched (after Stiller game) 60 Minutes intervew w/4 Dallas PRESBY Ebola nurses...have to give them all a lot of credit...but I have to question the Cdc nurse quarantined NJ...SHE IS a CDC EMPLOYEE and has been outed as a Democrat operative. Is she a “false flag” “look how awful quarantine is” so that the plans of widespread Ebola can go forward. Something just so odd about her story and the media’s rush to defend her and attack Christie and Cuomo AFTER Cuomo had the presser w/NYCs DeBlasio. Remember, OBOTS NEVER let a disaster go to “waste.”

Listening to the woman who is quarantined. Wah, wah,wahhhhhhhh!!!!! She’s selfish to potentially put everyone at risk. If she’s a CDC employee then I would not be surprised if she’s an Dem operative. They would take advantage of the situation.
I just read that Cuomo is going squishy on the Nj/NY quarantine...why all the flip flopping? To hang Christie out to dry? Something stinks here...
My husband had a seizure about 2 years ago, he was taking pain medication for his shoulder & had a tooth pulled. He informed the dentist of the meds he was on - and they prescribed vicoden. He took both the pain meds & the vicoden for two days & had a seizure on the third. Total reaction to the two meds. Hope Jep is ok. It is scary to see that, can’t imagine what going through one is like.
Any word on the ratings for 104.7 since it went country? WJAS sucks. I hope WPGB’s ratings go in the crapper.
Ratings are down, way down. It’s complicated but wn old familiar story in radio. Ratings are down but revenue up. Keep in mind this is Clear Channel. They have several stations in ths market. They look at the overall muli station picture.
So if one station loses money but the other ones are making money its all good?

Sort of. It is complicated. Another scenario is a station that has v high ratings but can’t sell spots changes format and draws a smaller but more desirable, i.e. has and will spend money, audience.
When one of my stations was easy listening we always had huge ratings....huge but because it was played in hospitals, old folks homes, mental institutions, offices and such our audience had a low spend per listener value.
We changed to an adult contemporary format, took a huge ratings hit but attracted a younger more affluent audience that was more likely to spend. Ratings down, revenue up.
Radio sells listeners. Not TO listeners but listeners to radio buyers...clients.
Also at that time radio buyers were usually younger so they tended to buy younger stations. That is still true but the radio landscape has changed so much over the past thirty years with the personal people meters, internet and satellite that there are many nuances.
It makes my head hurt.
By that logic Clear Channel or iHeartMedia or whatever they call themselves should just run a loop of fingernails on a blackboard 24/7 on all their other stations to drive listeners to ‘DVE.
