Interesting to see this as I am listening to Avi Nelson on WRKO. Jess Cain, Jerry Williams, David Brudnoy...many good guys have gone. Some like Dave MacNeil at WCRB have just vanished.

I remember listening to WRKO in the 1970s. They played Top 40 and had a very tight playlist so songs stuck in your head because they played about 30 songs twenty times a day.
I remember songs like "Night Chicago Died", "Seasons In The Sun", "Billy, Don't Be A Hero", "Beach Baby" and "You're Having My Baby" among hundreds of other "lost" 1970s hits that for at least a few weeks played endlessly on WRKO. So now, for better or worse, they are etched in my brain forever.
