This is similar to the concierge clinic idea,...”
Concierge concept appears to be strong and growing in Houston but doesn’t seem to have caught on so much out here in our suburbs. My internal medicine doc has discounted her fees though for cash payment at the time of the session. I understand the waiting list to get in to see her is growing so maybe patients, too, are getting tired of filling out 50 pages of forms at each visit and then repeating it all over again to a PA, a nurse and then the physician. Certainly seems preferable for older patients who fine recounting a long lifetime of medical history just way over the top. Just getting beyond ridiculous.
What is EHR?
I know that in our industry probably at least 1/3 of all man-hours are somehow DIRECTLY consumed by government regulations. Probably only about a tenth of that is even remotely useful in protecting the public interests.
I remember when this started. My doctors now spend most of our time together typing on their computers.
All this personal information is now available for the left to use against opposition candidates and each other, as the need arises.
EHR = electronic health record
