It’s when we lose a pet that we realize how often we interact with them in the course of our life.

I have joy and grief. The sadness of losing a loved pet always overwhelms me.

A new one brings joy back to my life. Its always worth it.

Yes,we have a pet cat who was abandoned in 2010. He soon trusted us and chose us as his family. Abandoned with a bum ear. Ear treated with various medications. Once surgery was an option, the vets did not want to cut into it...possible cancer.

We have him in our home to monitor because his days are few and we do not want him to wander off to die alone.

He still likes to eat. I find droplets of blood on the floor. He shakes his head but finds a place to sleep.

I have pain meds prescribed for me which are appropriate for cats and dogs and give him medication 2 x daily if accepted.

Plan to keep him comfortable in his final days.
