Funny how it is almost always a boyfriend and almost never a husband. But no, of course it is outdated for men and women to get married before having kids.There's a deliberate attempt to confuse this issue by referring to the perps as "intimate partners," conflating boyfriends with lawfully married husbands. In reality, it's almost always the boyfriend. Lawfully married husbands only rarely murder their wives or children.

25+ years ago, I was that boyfriend, to my now wife of 25+ years.
I remind both of you that we, the guys unlike the one in this story, generate exactly zero press, so no one ever hears about us.
We exist in greater numbers than you might imagine.
I inherited 2 when I got married, had one with my wife, and now have 3 grandbabies with another on the way.
Just to balance out the equation a bit.
