DENVERThe Colorado Division of Insurance announced Friday a surge in health-care policy cancellations in the wake of Obamacare, just what Democratic candidates in high-profile races didnt need less than three weeks before Election Day.
In a letter to state Senate Republicans, Colorado insurance commissioner Marguerite Salazar said that more than 22,000 Coloradans received cancellation notices in the last month, and that 192,942 Coloradans will lose their policies at the end of 2015.
That would bring the total number of cancellations in Colorado to more than 550,000 by the time the Affordable Care Act has been fully implemented and non-compliant plans have been phased out. Ten Colorado carriers have opted to continue offering non-compliant plans through 2015, Ms. Salazar said.
The report fueled a fresh barrage of Republican attacks against vulnerable Democrats, starting with Gov. John Hickenlooper and Sen. Mark Udall, both of whom are locked in tight reelection fights. Republican Rep. Cory Gardner issued a statement Friday blasting Mr. Udalls continued support for Obamacare.

Those monthly payments are to much for most. I think we here on FR predicted that this would happen.
I think there may be Medicare changes afoot too (I heard this from a Medicare recipient who received some mailing and was very upset about a major decrease in drug coverage during a gap period for next year). Wasn’t Obamacare supposed to take something like three-quarters of a billion from Medicare at some point? Looks like it is also arriving just before the election.
Ticking off seniors just before an election. Uh oh!
but wait, all the skittle pooing unicorns smoking joints are going to pay for it with more taxes from all the people buying pot..
Oh well. If you like your socialism you can keep your socialism. Isn’t that right President Barry?
The bad news hit home just when Coloradans are casting ballots.
Udall and Hickenlooper are going down for their support of Obamacare.
“If you like your health insurance plan, you can . . .”
Obama is getting rid of JV policies. (Just channeling my inner moonbat.)

The video makes it clear one example of the deliberate capriciousness to cancel policies regardless of their actual quality.
This is the dribble. Most will begin showing up in mid-November.
The important thing is that members of congress are getting free healthcare.
My 70 year old cousin, here in Texas, who is on Medicare got a letter the other day from her insurance carrier contracted through Medicare, telling her that she was going to have to get a different Insurance Plan for Prescription Drugs because they cannot comply with ObamaCare requirements and make any profit. She’s on Social Security. She cannot afford the available plans and she can’t afford to pay $275.00 for one 30 Day prescription. She doesn’t know what she’s going to do. The irony of it all: She voted for Obama in ‘08.
