We have to maintain flights to Ebola stricken nations because the disease must be stopped there.

Now, that may not seem to make any sense, but it does if you take into account the fact that our betters think we are all illiterate, racist morons.

You see, according to the folks in charge, we will not support aggressive efforts to contain Ebola in West Africa unless we fear it might spread to our own home-towns. So as soon as we slap a travel ban on travel from West Africa, we will all go back to downloading iCloud photos of Jennifer Lawrence and eating Hardees Mile High Burgers and forget all about Ebola.

Because none of us care if those people die over there, you see, because we are all illiterate racist morons.

I get the sarcasm, but this needs to be done. A two pronged attack on the source of the infection, both thru visas AND commercial flights would be the surest way to prevent this pathogen from getting out of the area. The research shows it can survive http://www.phac-aspc.gc.ca/lab-bio/res/psds-ftss/ebola-eng.php on environmental surfaces for some time.
