Phoenix Air has released a statement explaining why the now infamous non-HazMat-wearing 'clipboard man' seen in close proximity to Dallas Ebola patient Amber Vinson (while the rest of the members of staff are fully protected) was unprotected... and it will blow your mind.
Why is "Clipboard Man" not wearing protective gear?

"+100 good find , herd redirection (if that is your Real Name)
it was all only a drill"
fyi
I at least hope he is a prior ebola survivor.
I saw that explanation earlier that he was safer NOT being in a hazmat suit and thought it made as much sense as anything else we’ve heard the last few days.
You can’t catch Ebola on a bus but if you have Ebola don’t ride a bus because you can infect other people...
Keeping Ebola isolated in Africa increases the risk it’ll infect Americans....
Clipboards shield you from obola.
The real message is “why is the guy there??”
I think that person from ZeroHedge is correct, it’s a drill.
It looks to me like he is well outside the 3 foot range of droplets, and the patient does not seem to be actively vomiting in any case.
His pay must be astronomical.../s
Post to me or FReep mail to be on/off the Bring Out Your Dead ping list.
The purpose of the Bring Out Your Dead ping list (formerly the Ebola ping list) is very early warning of emerging pandemics, as such it has a high false positive rate.
So far the false positive rate is 100%.
At some point we may well have a high mortality pandemic, and likely as not the Bring Out Your Dead threads will miss the beginning entirely.
*sigh* Such is life, and death...
Can't tell because of the hazmat suit, but that would really really suck with that hood on. As if having Ebola isn't bad enough.
LOL, he flew on the plane with the patient. That close enough? And since when do people put on hazmat suits only after a patient with a deadly transmittable disease that they are in close contact with starts "actively vomiting"? Where exactly did you get that standard? How close would you stand to an Ebola patient without a hazmat suit? How close would you let your children stand to an Ebola patient without a hazmat suit, even if they weren't "actively vomiting"? Would you tell them, "hey kids, remember no closer than three feet or you die a horrible bloody death"?
In short, what exactly are you defending here?
For a moment there I thought they were talking about 0bama.
Hey! The rest of you quit listening in. This is between Jet Jaguar and me.
