The dream run continues for the state of Mississippi. (When did the moniker Stark Vegas start?) With Jameis Winston facing a university disciplinary hearing and the potential issue of selling his autograph if Winston is suspended or drops out late in the season will the Selection Committee leave FSU out? The biggest game of the upcoming weekend is Notre Dame going to visit Jameis and company. How will the haters respond choosing between one of the most hated programs in football vs. the most hated player? I remember the last time this was huge game when the Charlie Ward led Seminoles lost to ND at South Bend making ND the number 1 team for a week until the Domers lost to BC.

...hating a college football team is the height of inanity...

5 of top 10 from best conference in the country - SEC. The rest are pretenders.

SC plays Notre Dame on November 29

Could be a real good game.

TCU was about to pull off the BIG upset of the weekend, being 3 TDs ahead. They decided to go with an onside kick with something like 7 minutes of game time remaining.

I thought the moment they did the onside kick: STUPID! STUPID! STUPID!

Baylor roared back in those remaining minutes to retain the lead at the buzzer.

It should be an all SEC playoff.

ND and FSU don’t play anyone hard except themselves.

Good thing “Todd Gurley” wasn’t a drinking game last weekend.

Again, Baylor should be much higher.

No idea why you continually under rate them.

I would never say that. I was born in MS and that is a no-no. I support State and like Auburn since a friend played there. He called me this morning to say congrats on the win.

Being a midwesterner, I hate to agree with you, but you are correct. The BIG (Big 10 or whatever) has no business even being considered part of the power 5 conferences. Michigan State and Ohio State would have trouble with Kentucky and Vandy, the perennial SEC bottom dwellers.

All I know is that after all those years of living in the shadow of Alabama, LSU, Auburn, Florida, etc., it’s nice to see my Dawgs standing in the sunlight for a change, gonna enjoy the ride while it lasts...
BTW, we’ve been calling our town Stark Vegas and even Stark Patch since forever.

Poor Arkansas, they’d probably be right up there with Georgia in the SEC East right now, but in the West, they’re the poor sister.

No, it's not. Notre Dame is eminently hateable. And I am of partially Irish descent.

Bama fan here. But I’m proud of of State. My boss, and a bunch of co-workers went there.

If Mississippi State loses every remaining game, they’ve still had a championship season.

Cheers

Killin’ as offensive co-ordinator is ending the 2014 season fro my Tide. One can only hope that Nick has the brains to fire the fool sooner rather than later. Look what he did to So.Cal and TN.

I am thrilled for State and excited for my Ole Miss friends to see both teams have such great seasons thus far. Even though I learned Ole miss cheers from early childhood thanks to my best friend and her family, I am a rebel and lean towards State except for when State is playing Bama. I love to see teams striving to be the best.

if people can love a team, and there seems to be quite a bit of that around, how could it be surprising for someone to hate a team?
