As we await word that Quinn and Rose are returning to the airwaves, our friendly group of dedicated FReeper Q&R fans will continue to meet in our usual spot as we always have! So grab your coffee - or whatever you choose to start your day - and drop in for some political chit-chat, or just to shoot the breeze! We are all coming from - or going to - work, so stop in to say hi! Feel free to join us!
Good Morning, my FRiends!
Good morning!
Anyone else uncomfortable with Quinn driving his Vette? Sure they are OK but you would think someone as passionate about conservativism as Jim would not buy a NEW GM vehicle. I’m probably over sensitive about it.
In any case there hasn’t been anything new in the radio rumors. with the elections and one year anniversary coming up it’s ...well..disappointing.
BIG quake last night! 7.4 off El Salvador. More “immigrants” on the way....
Oh yes! Did you see where Dear Leader is taking action on ISIS? While not admitting his air campaign is failing he has ordered...Apache copters into the fray.
BIG problem. They can be taken down by shoulder fired missiles that ISIS ALREADY HAS! IIRC they have shot down Apaches before.
Brilliant move BO...
Morning p6!
Never thought about it. Maybe he just likes a cool car and he can afford it? :-) He still describes himself, on Twitter, as a “soon to be re-employed talk show host”. He must be working on something. I saw the thread about the big quake. Mother Earth is restless!
More talk, this morning, about Ebola potentially being airborne. All just conjecture at this point though. Makes me want to stay away from crowds! BF would be the perfect time for bio-terrorists to spread the disease!
Barak Insane Obola has no clue how to run a war. He needs to leave it to the military leaders.
Just heard this on a radio station I’m listening to. (Cue the Obama voice, ala “Dos Equis”, commercial)
Barak: “I don’t always drink koolaid, but when I do, I drink my own.
Stay ignorant, my friend.”
LOL!
Oooo....never thought of the BF aspect! Wow! That will be a dangerous time! In fact the entire shopping season could be affected. We are doing our -very limited- shopping early and mostly online.
Have to get in touch with SS today. The website said there was a problem with some of the info I submitted. This is turning into a nightmare. Just a question of time before I get frustrated, go ballistic and tell them to shove it!
Wait ntil after the elections! There is no telling what he’ll do to punish us especially if his rats lose Congress!
Son and wife have still not received their tax return. There was a problem with last year’s because somebody tried to file under son’s name. So now they are flagged and IRS needs to ‘investigate’ again! Incompetent IRS just like incompetent SocSec.
I think I’ll just keep working. It sounds like retiring is not worth the hassle!
Good morning n’@!
Late to the festivities this am. Reading up on Ebola overnight news...Nina Phams BF is now hospitilized (conflicting reports as to whether he is symptomatic). This is not good. He, and his contacts are TOTALLY outside the the original 48 “watched” by the inept Obola PC CDC. Thd math is terrifying.
My middle son (the one getting married next month) works for a gas company here; flies into DFW (as do many of his co-workers) regularly. Not paranoia (no matter what my tag line says) but I can see how this can spread. Quickly. A lot of energy employees in the RustBelt do a lot of work in DFW area too, as well as healthcare (Phams BF worked for Alcon an opthologic company.)
Scary times folks!
P6...I understand your thoughts on the Corvette...but (other end of auto spectrum) what are your thoughts on Mitsibishi outlander sport? It’s a mini crossover (a local dealer has a great offer—well I think great. The 10 yr old Focus is on limited time).
The only thing the IRS is efficient at is persecuting conservatives and “losing” e-mails. I hope your son doesn’t have to go through too much hassle with them.
AWESOME POST!
(And sorry to hear of sons irs troubles).
And getting back to my “paranoia” iPhone WILL NOT LET ME type Obola w/overriding the auto correct.
Obola, Obola, Obola, pffffffft.
They can be taken down by shoulder fired missiles that ISIS ALREADY HAS! IIRC they have shot down Apaches before.
I swear he does it on purpose. Eliminating any military that might think twice about a coup IS his plan.
Leaving to have breakfast with some friends - something I haven’t done for a long time! Quite looking forward to it. No place fancy - just Valley Dairy. Later!
ENJOY your morning out!
Mitsubishi products don’t get very good ratings for reliability. My father-in-law worked for Chrysler when they had a joint venture going with Mitsu. He warned me away from a number of Chrysler models because they had Mitsu transmissions, which were crap.
Since Suzuki left the US market, Mitsubishi is now the worst selling vehicle brand. Rumors are they may leave too.
Watching with interest how the price of crude is falling. Gee, who ever thought that the US producing more oil would result in that?! Can’t wait to see what Obola does to shut that down, ugh.
We bought the regular Outlander (not the Sport) in May. A good lot of features for the price and the Mitsubishi AWD is very good.
Mistubishi working with Chrysler was a long time ago.
True, Mitsu’s sales are low, but they are putting money into these new models and advertizing them, which is more than Suzuki ever did.
THANK YOU BOTH FOR YOUR OPINIONS!
We are trying to hold off til Spring on any purchase. We usually buy late model used (lease turn ins). But that takes time and research ...if our aging 2nd car (a 2004 Focus w/140 miles) finally fails (it has an exhaust hole fail that needs entire system replace—costs more than value of the car). So the Outlander Sport ads have peaked our (well my) interest on affordability and availability. There is a local dealer that is flooding the area w/Sports.
Again...I value opinions and thank you BOTH for your input.
Son has one. He really likes it. He said it’s never given him any problems. It’s a 2007.
We had a nice day. Friends and I sat at Valley Dairy and talked for two hours. One friend will be working in the Adams County court house in Gettysburg . Lucky duck! Tnen Mr S , DIL and grandbaby and I went past Johnstown to get apples and pumpkins. Beautiful fall color.
