Thousands of Iowans are now facing double-digit health insurance premium hikes due to Obamacare.
On Wednesday, the Des Moines Register reported that the state's insurance commissioner has approved Des Moines-based Wellmark to hike its rates between 11.9% and 14.5%.
The premium spike will affect 19,000 Iowans.
"That increase is for individual policyholders who have Affordable Care Act-compliant plans," reports the Register.
CoOportunity, one of the main companies offering health insurance on the Obamacare exchange, will increase its rates 19%.

Dontcha love it when a plan comes together??
Disseminate to North Carolinians also—might open the eyes of voters who don’t see Kay Hagan’s devotion to Obamacare as a personal or family threat to them!
That’s exactly what I was thinking. Joni Ernst needs to jump on this RIGHT NOW!!! Don’t wait for the letters to go out. Come on Joni, tie this around Bruce Braley’s neck. We know he voted for ObamaCare.

Well, everyone knows ObamaCare is a mess. But, when it hits your home state, that’s when it “opens the eyes of voters”.
Ask a libtard: What are you doing with that $2500 which ObaMaoCare was supposed to save you every year?
Obviously, they don’t know how to ‘SHOP’.
A little hard when she, her fellow legislators, and the incumbent Republican governor, were the ones who implemented Obamacare in Iowa.
And when they master the “shopping” thingy, they might want to improve their %$#@&* VOTING SKILLS!!!

Holy Crap! Didn’t know that. I’d like more information on her role in that. I still want her to kick Braley’s butt anyhow. That guy is freakin’ nut and so is his old lady. One lady posted earlier today that she heard on talk radio that he sent a letter to Lois Lerner to sic her on a political enemy at one time. She’s going to get the website where the letter is posted and share it on here.

My 70 year old cousin, in Texas, who is on the Texas Health Spring Plan for Medicare, got a letter regarding her Prescription Drug Plan. Effective Dec. 31st, she must have a new Insurance Company cover her for prescription drugs and the cost is so high, she can’t afford pay it being on Social Security. The irony of it...... she voted for Obama in ‘08.
sweet
They voted for him, they got his healthcare plan
“Even if my premiums go up, it’s worth it so that everyone gets healthcare”
Translated:
“It’s a small price to pay for feeling self-righteous for wanting everyone to get healthcare.”
