Back in the day, my business travel took me all over Africa. Flew from JFK to Dakar, Monrovia, Lagos and across the continent to Nairobi. I think it was Panam 188/189. Had to deplane at every stop.
Amen to that! I think we need to have protests nationwide about our government’s nonchalant response to this crisis. It is being mishandled on so many levels, starting with President Obola and that clown heading up the CDC, allowing it to spread, all for political reason. Meanwhile our borders are left open, people from other countries where Ebola is found are allowed to freely come here, and our military men and women are being sent to their deaths to “combat” Ebola. When they return they will be able to further spread the disease to their families. It is tragic, and President Obola is fine with it all.
I agree. I am glad to see sparks of self preservation out there. Dying on the alter of political correctness would be such a pathetic way to go.
True. The good news is, their motivation doesn’t matter in this case. I’m cheering anything that promotes sane practices and common sense in response to this deadly threat, however inadvertant or accidental. That the pushback is coming from Obama’s base is a bonus.
Very legitimate fears IMHO.
A bit late for them to start worrying today about blood and vomit. They’ve been cleaning ick from planes since planes were invented. Granted, most of the ick won’t kill them. Since, AIDS, they should at least know to take precautions. There is no way to protect them from Ebola unless they constantly are in full hazmat suits. Of course, they’d be at less danger if airlines themselves stop all flights to hot zones.
American union workers- doing the job their government won’t do
