I can’t think of any Tennessee governor in my lifetime I would want appointing judges. I also do not think any judge should hold a lifetime seat on the bench. There’s a “Special” one in our area I sure wish we could vote into full time permanent retirement from the bench. He’s overturned more solid cases than a mad bull running through an egg packing company.

We agree on that. I would like to see the state constitution with an amendment that limits judges and congress to 2 terms and terms limits set for senators and judges to 4 yrs.

Ditto goes for the US Constitution. Reduce the senate to 4 yrs, 2 terms, leave the Reps at the 2 year 2 term. NO RETIREMENT, NO HEALTHCARE. THEY PAY FOR IT out of their pockets. AND Pay raises limited to COLA for Ret. Military and SS Citizens. USSC and lower district US courts shall be limited to 6 yrs period.

Sounds like anti-death penalty US District John T Nixon to me.
