“The husband says he left the dog several buckets of water and food before coming to the hospital, where he has been quarantined along with two others who are being observed for symptoms. “

The quarantine is going to be for about 3 weeks. They will have another HAZMAT going on in the house if that dog is left unattended .....

“While some dogs in West Africa have tested positive for the Ebola virus, they showed no signs of being infected, “

This actually is pretty disturbing. That means dogs might serve as a reservoir for the virus....

Or, put the dog in an isolation unit for a month, AND BILL THE HUSBAND FOR EVERY CENT IT COSTS.

President Obama - close down the flights from Ebola infected areas right now, before it is too late! What the hell is wrong with you?— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) October 5, 2014

What the hell is Obama doing in allowing all of these potentially very sick people to continue entering the U.S.! Is he stupid or arrogant?— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) October 5, 2014

Despite the ever increasing Ebola disaster, Obama refuses to stop flights from West Africa. It's almost like he's saying F-you to U.S. public— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) October 7, 2014

Yes. Dogs are asymtomatic carriers of ebola.

It also means his dog could be quarantined and tested instead of being routinely destroyed.

Quarantine is meaningless if the dog show no symptoms but harbors the virus. The family would probably pay for testing the dog though, if offered the option

I doubt the dog ate any infected animals in Spain. Does Ebola transmit from humans to animals? They should quarantine the dog in order to learn whether or not this is even a possibility.

Good point. Perhaps they already know at Reston.

I know the dogs in Africa get it from eating dead carriers (including humans). I would imagine they could contract it from human body fluids.
