Heck with waiting for Obola and the gov. to ban flights.
Why can’t the airlines stop flying into W. Africa? Refuse to take transfers from other airlines via European cities.
I think the airlines would probably get sued or Obama would get an injunction to force them to fly. If I recall correctly, when all of this started, Delta stopped flying (briefly) to one of these countries, possibly Nigeria, simply because the aircrew refused to go.
But I’m not sure an airline could manage to do it for any length of time unless the government orders all of them to stop flying into these places or code-sharing with lines that go to these places..
"While United and Delta airlines are the only US-based operators serving Africa, heightened Ebola vigilance would require a broad net, covering travellers on other non-stop flights from the continent and those who connect via European carriers in hubs such as London and Paris. Fliers at risk would then need to be scrutinised for any history of exposure to the disease."Sounds like the current occupant of the oval office is not listening to his medical and national security advisors again. Just like with Iraq, IS/ISIS/ISIL.
Why did Ebola have to become a national security priority? He could have nipped this in the bud long ago.
