Republicans are optimistic about the Senate these days, on account of recent polls that show their candidates pulling ahead, or pulling even, in a number of battleground states. Oddsmakers are now saying there is a strong probability the GOP will re-take the Senate in November.
However, there is a catch: as usual, the Democrats fundraising this cycle has vastly outpaced the Republicans. And the Democrats are focusing their resources where it counts, on the Senate. Echelon Insights, a reputable outfit headed by Kristen Anderson and Patrick Ruffini, has been tracking television advertising buys. This is how the reserved air time shapes up between now and November. Click to enlarge:

No comeback especially with this first case of Ebola reported.
Hopefully the last...
NEVER underestimate the power of stupid people in large groups AND the GOPe’s ability to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.
Ebola? He’s not up for reelection this year.
How about a "Senate Go Away" instead of a comeback?
His policies are.
True dat.
Mitch or Harry. Either way, Democrats win.
whistling past the graveyard....
No.
The ‘Pubbie blew their advantages. Starting with Mississippi.
The number that should have Democrats panicking over losing Louisiana

The idiots are helping the despicable continue the destruction of America.
We’ve got the best government money can buy! The fags and Hollywood limousine commies are making sure the Obamisery continues.
What silliness.
I'm no Mitch fan but he actually is the logical choice for the Senate Majority Leader of the Republican Party that we have right now. That doesn't him make my choice. That doesn't make him the choice of 5% of us here at FR.
But his votes fall right in the middle of the GOP pack. Less conservative than half the GOP. And more conservative than the other half. The GOPe types are not going to vote for Ted Cruz. The Mike Lee and Ted Cruz contingent is not going to vote for Mark Kirk. So you have to pick someone in the middle. That's our Mitch. That's the way of politics.
We would all like 55 or so Ted Cruz-like Senators running the show. Maybe someday. Not now. Not soon.
The idea that Mitch and Harry yield the same Senate is simply nonsense.
And never underestimate voter fraud. It’s everywhere and Holder blocked most efforts to stem the tide.
I guess comeback means cheatin’. And yes, they are all pumped for it.
Probably not, though there is still plenty of time for a couple of the Republican candidates to screw their race up.
I have a feeling that election night won’t be decided on election night. Several of these races look to be, if not razor-thin, at least quite close. Recounts and legal challenges may well be coming our way, especially if it decides who gets the majority in the Senate.
Not surprised by the fund raising. Rockefeller republicans thought the Chamber of Commerce could provide the cash they need. They forgot that a million hundred dollar donors will overwhelm the Chamber in cash every time. As for me I haven’t given the RNC a dime since they stabbed Bush in the back with the left over Iraq. And probably never will again.
I think you can throw all the polls out right now, things just changed at 5:30 PM with CDC press conference. Also, if it gets really serious, the poor and inner-city will get hit the hardest.
