True story. I actually vet my vet. For a number of years, I was quite pleased with my veterinarian and he did a fine job. He was a Yankee who got his degree at Cornell. I was able to overlook both of those negatives since the work he performed was otherwise satisfactory. But in the fall of 2008, during what began as an amicable conversation, he mercilessly mocked Governor Sarah Palin. I asked if he planned to vote for hussein in the November 2008 general election. He told me that he most certainly would and added that having Sarah Palin a heartbeat away from the presidency was unacceptable. I stormed out of the office and made it clear that I would do everything I could to steer my friends and colleagues away from his vet clinic.
Fortunately, being here in Texas gives me choices. I found another vet and pre-qualified him in an interview session. Not only is he a Southerner but he graduated from Auburn and is a Tea Party supporter! He now has my business and my other animal owning friends now patronize his clinic.
So, yes, I take a person's politics seriously regardless of the venue or endeavor. I don't want a penny of mine to go to anyone who supports the leftist agenda of abortionism, homosexualism, gun-grabbing or islam. As much as possible, I purchase only non-union made goods and deal with only Conservatives and Christians (as well as Conservative Jews -- that's my very fine, pro-Israel dentist). Call me narrow-minded and intolerant if you like. I take those terms as badges of honor along with creationist, Bible-thumper, gun nut, McCarthyite, right-winger, redneck and so on.
God Bless You.
I am in total agreement.
Very good ! Nothing wrong with voting with your dollars between elections.....
