Nick Bianco (Victor Mature) is a soft-hearted crook who wants nothing more than to put his criminal past behind him and return to his family. That's not always as easy as it seems, however, especially when it means crossing a giggling psychopath like Tommy Udo (Richard Widmark, who gives us one of the most memorable/infamous scenes in film noir history). Colleen Gray co-stars.

This one's a classic of the genre. I'm not a huge fan of Victor Mature, but he's good in this one. The real treat, though, is Richard Widmak's Udo. Good film. 7.2/10

Too late for me.

My Friday night movie was King Richard And The Crusaders (1954) with George Sanders, Rex Harrison and Virginia Mayo.

I like Victor Mature well enough though. He was great in My Darling Clementine and even in a few swashbucklers if I remember correctly.

Richard Widmark was tremendous with than maniac laughter of his in this movie.
