My Dad wore seat belts up until they passed that law which made them mandatory. He took it off that day and refused to ever wear one again.

Lucky for him, he was in a rural small-town environment and officers were understanding. He'd tell them that he fought in World War II to keep that type of nanny state crap out of this country and he wasn't about to obey it.

Dad passed before Bill Clinton served his first month as POTUS. I can only imagine what he would say now.

I don’t like wearing a seat belt, we were told years ago that there would never be a ticket if you don’t wear one, thats how they got the law passed...I wear mine but not because of the law....I fear the insurance company if I ever get in an accident...their first question is ......were you wearing your seat belt...
