Amd I the only one who remembers "Commander In Chief" in -- get this -- 2005/6 when the election was ramping up? Hollywood wanted hitlery in since they didn't see obozo coming?
But of course obozo already HAD TV in the bag, since in 2008 people really thought they were voting for "24's" David Palmer. Then they voted again in 2012 b/c they could not admit to themselves they were wrong.
Now, right at the start of the 2016 election cycle comes "Madame Secretary" featuring a smart-ass-wouldn't-we-like-all-cabinet-members-to-be-outspoken-like-that actress.
Anyone who can't see this as ANOTHER attempt to run a TV show to redefine hitlary's disaster as SOS is not seeing reality (as it were).
Either the FR "search" function continues to suck or I am the first to actually post on this.
Of course, I intend to pitch this hitlery commercial a miss.
I think it actually hurts her, although I guess they can’t see it. The woman playing the part is young, good-looking, witty, looks competent and seems friendly. None of those things apply to Hillary.

Yes I remember Commander in Chief, with Geena Davis as the first woman president. That show didn’t last too long. Wonder how well Madame Secretary will do in the ratings.
Now that the FBI can’t find any evidence against Chris Cristy, I suppose we can expect to see a new show about a fat governor.

My local grocery store recently featured a Time magazine Hillary Clinton special issue (”Hillary Clinton: An American Life”) at the checkout stand - MORE free publicity. The cover pic was of a golden-skinned Hillary gazing into the heavens, like an old Catholic holy card of St. Lucy. It is sickening.
I never thought CIC was a Hillary push. Too far before the election. And even if it was, it got canceled almost instantly, her campaign actually was more successful than the show. Same opinion on this one. Way too far before the election, and she’s probably not even going to run, and if she does run she’ll lose, badly this time.
The media learned with Sarah and Tina Fey that they have more power than just writing political narratives. They can alter political personalities. They will make Hillary look competent.
