Boeing was talking about laying off the CST-100 people a month or so ago if they didn’t win the contract.
That’s their “committment” to manned spaceflight.
But those who are politically connected did make them...
Boeing promised to build a factory at KSC which is almost deserted right now, so undoubtedly that got the entire Floriduh delegation to throw in.
Eventually something will fly after cubic cash is poured into it.
But it would have been nice to see Dream Chaser go, no matter how much I dislike the Ozmens.
Maybe another internet bezillionaire will pay for it.
