Melissa Rivers has huge grounds for a lawsuit here, against Yorkville Endoscopy and against this ENT..the only part of this story that does not make sense is the part about the biopsy and how Joan Rivers did not consent to it. I have had endoscopies and colonoscopies before, so has my Mom, I dont know if its different at other clinics but at Kaiser, you sign one consent form and it has nothing to do with taking biopsies during the procedure. If the doctor finds something they remove it, they don’t leave it in and ask you later if you wanted it removed
I think there’s more here than what we’re hearing. The clinic is actively trying to throw Joan’s doctor under the bus. This should have been a pretty routine procedure. Even going into laryngospasm, you have trained ENTs there. Couldn’t they preform a tracheostomy on her?
