The five South Carolina children allegedly killed by their own father may have been strangled to death, officials said.
Investigators have had troubling determining a cause of death for Timothy Jones Jr.'s five kids because their little bodies were largely decomposed when police found them ditched on the side of an Alabama highway. But on Friday, officials said the initial exams seem to suggest the children — ages 1 to 8 — died by strangulation, Alabama's Wilcox County District Attorney Michael Jackson told The State.

His attorney Aimee Zmroczek requested a mental health exam for her client as soon as possible, the New York Daily News reported.
“He is being portrayed as a monster,” Zmroczek said. “He is just a man, and he is trying to deal with the situation.”

Richard Speck, who murdered eight student nurses, one at a time, in their townhouse. Speck was armed only with a knife. None of his victims was armed. Speck’s crime should make every liberal gun-grabber think, then vomit.
Their excuses are always mental, physical abuse as a child or booze or drug abuse.
There is treatment for postpartum depression. There are many programs for addiction.
You don’t want your children, put them up for adoption.
What these people leave behind is PSTD for the surviving parent. Been there, still there after 25 yrs. I’ve fought 6 parole hearings, only to have my 16 year old son’s killer who ambushed Jeremy on his way home from school just a few hundred yards from home, beat him to death with a 2 ft section of fence post, just for the jollies to see what it felt like to kill. Walk free after his lousy plea bargained sentence of 20 yrs. I made him serve every day until he maxed out his ‘good or should I say bad’ behavior days. 14.5 yrs including the 2 yrs it took to reach the plea deal, of which I had NO SAY. First hearing was just 10 months after he copped his plea deal.
He now walks the streets of TN a free man. And I CCW.
We know it is not just limited to filicide. There are to many instances where such crimes are not limited to one’s own children.
Tim McVeigh, Twin Towers, Speck all prime examples of mass murder where guns were not used.

Dear God., I am praying for some peace for you and justice for your son. About 5 years before your son was murdered our son was killed by a guy who ran a red light. Nothing happened to the red light runner and he turned around and asked us to buy him a new car because the wreck totaled him. I have finally with the help of God been able to put it all behind me. I pray that you will be able to do the same.
This case is a good reason why I support the death penalty.

Yup. I vividly remember the outpouring of compassion for this poor woman, with soul-searching about what we had done as a society that may have drive her to do such a thing.
Haven’t seen, and I doubt there will be many, calls for thought to be given to what could have possibly driven this guy to do essentially the same thing.
This Jones Jr. dude worked IN MY BUILDING in Columbia. I didn’t know him, but used to see him in the smoking area when I walked by that way. He worked for large international semiconductor manufacturer, they have some sort of testing laboratory here.
Close as I ever want to get to any mass murderer. Prayers for those directly affected by this horror.
I fought the best fight I could with those parole hearings with God’s help. Now all that is left is to protect myself, and leave the rest in God’s hands. He is the final judge of us all. It does not end the PSTD, that is now more BD, Anv. and Christmas seasonal. I become a watering pot easy upset. But I make it through it with time.

Ashley Read and her brothers played with my boys. Her mom is my friend of many years. She was raped and murdered just a year after my Jeremy.
We turned our anger into positive things for all victims. There was a rash of children murdered around that time. And we banded together and forced through State Constitutional rights for all crime victims, made the parole boards except taped both audio and video statements when poor people could not travel to the parole hearing sights, and bounced 1 anti- DP state justice off the TN State bench. Penny White. We almost got a second, he hollered racism, when there was none, just his Anti- DP view. Most of the victims were black. That did not matter, just utter the word racism in Memphis, and Nashville, and you can forget being shut of such trash. We also had a US Circuit Court anti DP justice that blocked all DP cases.
Now I seek justice for Nikki.
True, but with these anti-gun nuts you use everything you can to fight them. It’s not always about just filicide we fight for, but our 2nd Amendment Rights. I was looking at the larger picture, not just the 1 single crime. We can find plenty of them across the USA.
But the whole has to be put together to protect our 2nd Amendment Rights.

DUMB. These are the crimes that don’t make national head lines, NO guns were used, NO Cops involved. Only hands, shoe laces, fence post or cars where one cooks to death in the trunk by sociopath people who have no sense of right or wrong.
