A competent and cognizant leader, a supposed pillar of humanity, shouldnt require a months worth of public outrage to be prodded into formulating a plan to confront and stop genocide. Barack Obama should have immediately acted once the obvious was verified by his intelligence agencies; that is, women, children and men were being exterminated beneath the flag of ISIS long before the viral beheading of two American journalists. Announcing a primetime press conference a day later and a dollar short is nothing more than a desperate attempt at damage control in order to appear more presidential. If youre going to value your glorious Islamic caliphate more than the value of saving a human life regardless of ones race, creed or nationality then I suppose offering to bring the shovels, playing a complimentary round of golf, shouldn't seem so obtuse after the treasonous betrayal known as Benghazi. Just do us all a favor and throw a little dirt on that Nobel Peace Prize too. Your victims of "acceptable apathy" want to give it a "primetime" burial.
He’s worse than no president at all. Obama is a worthless piece of.....obama.
I’ll try not to be home to watch.
He wants to do this in a way that supports the rebels in Syria. IMHO kill ISIS everywhere and leave the rest of Syria alone. I will be on the look out for some weasel words tomorrow.
Sadly that’s his M.O. for every failure and scandal.
As will I!
Since it is now known that Obama has intelligence concerning ISIS up to two years ago, he should have at the least ordered air attacks on their convoys the first minute they began to invade Iraq from Syria.
Air strikes could have done serious damage to their convoys as they moved about in open desert, and would probably have given some of the Iraqi forces enough confidence to fight them.
This fiasco and all the murders and dislocations of innocents is more on Obama than any other individual.
