The Southern Pacific Rattlesnake is another viper you want to avoid; venom is similar to the Mojave Green. I’ve watched a few episodes of “Venom ER” where individuals bitten by a Southern Pacific rattler were treated; the amount of anti-venom required is often much, much higher than the dosage for other snake bites.
“The King’s Ankus” comes to mind.

Bad snake. Bad death. Glad the dog lived. If you are fully envemonated by an egyptian monocled cobra, you are done. Even if you get anti-venin, you’ll be horribly scarred.
You get into your car and reach for the seatbelt. It feels a little different but you are in a hurry. You hear the familiar click and then you hear something new.
