Bank suspends both their accounts
An Emirati husband who set out to please his angry wife has ended up with a suspended bank account.
He transferred Dh50,000 to his wifes account as a present to appease her, but the wife not only rejected the amount but also transferred the amount back to his account.
Interestingly, it was the husbands 47th attempt in depositing cash in her account, reported Al Bayan. It was immediately re-transferred each time.
After his last attempt, two days back, which was once again duly transferred back by his wife, the bank suspended both their accounts.
A bank source was quoted by the daily as saying that the number of internal transfers in such a short period of time led the bank to take action.
He also added that the government authorities or regulatory authorities have complete rights to freeze or stop customers account if their activities 'suspicious'.
The source, meanwhile, said the complicated procedure to re-open an account will ensure the man buys his wife a bouquet of flowers instead of transferring money next time she is angry.
Damn- I just sent that guy my credit card # so he could put the money in my account!
In Islam, he’s supposed to return her dowry when he divorces her.
What are the odds she’s refusing the money to delay / deny a divorce?
If she doesn’t want it I’ll be glad to take it. Not the hubby just the money. I’ve got standards.
