My bantams lay eggs smaller than the reds, but they’re not super small. In most cases, the yolk is about the same size, but there is less white.
The eggs from the reds and from my leghorns are like super jumbo.
Imagine if you could sell your eggs out of the grand wailea in maui where they charge $2.50 per hardboiled egg and they weren’t super jumbo!
One of the neighbors has bantam chickens-I love the little eggs-they are not only tasty, but the shells are faintly tinged rose, brown and even green-I suppose it has to do with what they are fed-hope I don’t start glowing in the dark...
More yolk, less white...better egg.
