I think given the notorious shenanigans of the Democratic Party in Travis County, TX (where Austin is located), a lot of people even among the Democrats are concerned this could result in the Travis County Democrats going down in a big way fairly soon.

(For those who are old enough to remember, the Rathergate debacle started more or less here in Travis County.)

And Rathergate’s ending was forced here on FR :)

Didn’t know you were an Austinite, too. I’ll ping you to local stuff.

As long as all the interlopers from Kalifornia, India, and the NE are moving here, drawn by the tech boom , Austin will remain a liberal bastion. Look at the city council, they want to he like Portland or San Francisco so bad they can’t stand it. This was a fun place back in the late 80’s early 90’s. It is night and day from what it was then.

Curious as to how Travis County Democrats could ever go down. The voters here are insane, and not likely to change their tune any time soon.

If Perry had been accused of the planning the Holocaust, it's likely a Travis County GJ would have indicted him.
