Mr. Brown was just five minutes beyond his most recent strong-arm robbery and felony assault when his encounter with the officer occurred. Do you really believe he had completely reformed through some "come to Jesus" experience in that intervening five minutes?
No, I don't believe so. His only reformation occurred AFTER the last gasp of breath and last heartbeat occurred, which was AFTER he tried to knock out the officer, take his firearm, and escalate his crime spree to the murder level.
No, I absolutely do not believe that he reformed in ...10 minutes? or any number of minutes.
What I am believing has NOTHING to do with him, but only with the officer. I actually think every single party in this mess is guilty of plenty. Don’t act like I’m defending his behavior, I’m not. I’m saying that the cop shouldn’t have executed him, that what he did, did not rise to the level of the death penalty.
I’m hoping that some how, some way, there’s some excuse for the cop to have shot him down. It just doesn’t look like it at this moment.
